2016 Chertkov Fellow: Kung Li Kung

Kung Li Kung is an activist and writer from East Point, GA. After training as an attorney at NYU School of Law, Kung Li was the editor-in-chief of the Review of Law & Social Change before working for Stephen B. Wright at the Southern Center for Human Rights. At Blue Mountain Center, Kung Li wrote and compiled notes and interviews from a recent trip across the country that traced Alexis de Tocqueville’s tour of American penitentiaries in 1831.
